A Message from Mrs. Wood
Dear Parents, community members and staff, I would like to welcome you to Dexter Primary School's website. This is my first year as principal of Dexter Primary School. I am very excited about this new endeavor and am looking forward to meeting you and your children throughout the school year. We are just about finished the cleaning, waxing and organization of the school and classrooms. Our custodial staff has done an excellent job in getting things prepared on time for the upcoming school year. There are a few very important issues that I would like your help with. We take your child/children's safety very seriously and for that reason we require ALL adults to check in at the office and obtain a visitor's pass before proceeding anywhere in the buildings. You must stop in at the middle school office to receive this pass. If you plan to come in frequently, please fill out a form for a permanent badge. The badges must be worn so they are visible to all staff members. The visitor's pass only allows you access to the primary school office. If you do not have a permanent badge, you may obtain one from the office. If you have a badge, please sign in and out and you may proceed on your way. Another reminder is that students in grades K-4 are not allowed to ride their bicycles to school. As the building principal, it is my philosophy that the students are my first priority. My office, telephone and e-mail address are always available to you. If you have any questions, comments, suggestions or concerns, please feel free to contact me with any of the above resources that you feel most comfortable with. I am usually able to respond within 24 hours after receiving a message. The staff and I are eagerly awaiting the first day of school and we look forward and appreciate the opportunity to work with you and your child/children. Sincerely, Terry L. Wood Principal, Dexter Primary School
